Sexuality – An Alchemical Art, Part 1

NOTE: This article has an advanced degree of difficulty and we recommend that you already be familiarized with the notion of sexual continence before you read it. Please read it with extra attention because some of the things we want to communicate cannot be expressed in a simple form. The notions we are about to unveil are the heart of the tantric teachings about sacred sexuality and we are sure that you will see them as a revolutionary way in comparison to the general attitude towards sex.

Sexuality never was “ethical”… it is “non-ethical” in itself. To code the sexual appetite, to put it under norms that are not specific to it, is useless and reveals a lack of knowledge on its great possibilities – the generation of subtle energies.

In reality it is a veritable masterpiece of alchemy. There is nothing and nobody to be judged, analysed. It is necessary to understand the nature of our throbs and passions by experimenting. Getting close to our sexuality and us represents a true art.

Here the condition is that we maintain a sharp level of awareness, a deep consciousness of the physiological impulses during lovemaking, a clear and distinct perceiving of the subtle processes that give birth to desire and lead pleasure to ecstasy.

The Tantric tradition and the Taoist one preserve veritable treasures of knowledge about the alchemic nature of the human sexuality. In order to understand the perspectives of this “trans-personal sexology”, we must learn first how to perceive and feel.

Learning how to perceive and feel “what it is” is the way to fully achieve the act of lovemaking, not pieced in passing and unsubstantial pleasures. In this way, in order to understand the depth of human nature, the alchemy of “the vibrating energies”, we must experience the diversity of the psychosomatic and spiritual phenomenon and discover their intimate processing.

When desire is perceived in its subtle, energetic manifestations, a metamorphism of the sexual attraction, which had been strictly organic until that moment, takes place.

The pleasure is diffused through the whole body and a state of voluptuousness is born beyond the functions of the human personality (emotions and feelings) and sometimes even independently.

Sensual love can be seen as a genuine art only when there is authentic love going on between the two. The full experience of love, joy and pleasure can become the jumping board to the superior states of consciousness.

The sexual attraction often precedes the sexual act. When passing from the organic level to the subtle emotional level, this emotion is exceptionally re-lived, but sexual attraction cannot generate a veritable alchemy by itself.

The alchemy of the sexual act therefore involves a deep knowledge of one’s own sexuality, a total control over the sexual energy and the existence of pure and unconditional love.

The “fire of passion” is, above all, a “voluptuousness of the eternity”
From a superior point of view, the sexual act is not a simple consummation of a physical, animalistic desire.

It is, in fact, an interior aspiration to accomplish the alchemical masterpiece of merging the Male – the Solar principle with the Female – the Lunar one in order to become the perfect human being.

This is a new approach of sexuality, which could shock many people. “Could the sexual act help humans reach that perfect state of salvation that mystics refer to?” The answer is simple and very real: YES.

The will to love, to please and the effort to make the other happy have their origins in a deep, inner aspiration to become one with oneself in the universal bliss.

“The fire of passion” that appears between two lovers, is, above all, a voluptuousness of the eternity. The orgasm is wanted and wished for by people not only because it is a very pleasant and intense sensation, but also because it takes us out from time and gives us the opportunity to feel the taste of eternity.

Knowing all this, a person who is spiritual and sexually continent can reach the summits of the spiritual life (that can usually be reached only by prayer and meditation) by experiencing lovemaking with spiritual emotion and transfiguration.

Therefore, the orgasm does not necessary correspond only to pleasure; it essentially belongs to that nonmaterial, spiritual nature of ourselves.

Contemplative Sex, Part 3

The contemplative sexuality makes it possible to spontaneously perceive our relationship with the Universe. The actual “technique” of lovemaking is not primarily important, because here there is no result to attain.

In this approach, both man and woman are spontaneously on the path of self-discovery, without judging or expecting anything in advance, but living passionately that which exists in the moment.

In our era of high speed, the only technical request is to have enough time, or, better to say, to take enough time. By this, is not only meant the time that is measured in seconds, hours, days, etc., but chiefly a psychic attribute (which could be called a degree of excellence) that allows events to happen in their own time, an inner rhythm that defines a no-hurry attitude. This is a fundamentally essential attitude without which spirituality is impossible.

The modern approach to sexuality is a hurried, forced event, in which woman’s orgasm is a relatively rare happening and premature movements speed up man’s ejaculation.

The TANTRIC and TAOIST modality of no-ego-involvement allows an endless exchange of love and delays the male ejaculation to the point of disappearance.

This approach is much easier for women, due to their basically passive, receptive nature. But once man gets used to this spiritual approach of sexuality, he can prolong lovemaking indefinitely in time, offering to his woman the greatest possible degree of satisfaction and fulfilment, together with a quick and profound path leading to self-discovery and enlightenment.

One of the first steps of the contemplative sexuality is the discovery of the profundity and pleasure of the most simple contacts, which are generally considered either as having little to do with the sexual act or as being preliminary to it.

It is, for example, discovering the beauty of seeing your loved one, of touching him or her, of listening to his or her voice. There is one condition though: do not expect these contacts to lead to anything, do not force them to lead to anything but let them follow their natural course and stay in a state of detached expectancy.

Thus received, the outer and the inner world become charged with an incredible intensity of life, and we perceive ourselves as containing, to a certain degree, the outer reality reflected in our inner world.

The idea of contemplative sexuality is found in Japan in the tea ceremony. This ceremony (actually rooted in the practice of ZEN) associates the metaphysical ecstasy with the social fact of drinking tea with a few good friends.

During the tea ceremony, the most important activity is the continuous act of contemplation – all the rest being secondary from the very beginning and somehow unimportant.

If this fact is not understood, the tea ceremony risks to become a refined snobbishness without any spiritual significance, just as the contemplative lovemaking without the understanding of the doctrine of non-ego-involvment may become a refined art of prolonging the sexual act and enhancing the pleasure, but without much spiritual value.

It is a pity that the majority of those who start the practice of TANTRA (and even many of those who consider themselves advanced) think of it as a skill that will be attained through the practice of certain techniques.

There is nothing to attain! There is no effort, no goal, and no path. The only thing that might require some effort is to give up, to unlearn our prejudices about sexuality. After this has been done, TANTRA is what remains.

Methods to Increase Virility, Part 1

poza52-2.jpgIn this article we shall present two very effective methods for awakening and increasing your sexual energy.

Consequently, they will help you have stronger and longer lasting erections, but this also depends on your mastery of sexual continence.

As you probably know, we always advise you not to ejaculate and end up wasting this valuable treasure your body contains.

You should preserve it inside your body and use it as “fuel” in the inner alchemy, transforming it through processes of transmutation and sublimation into energy that will nourish your being at all levels, making possible even the fulfillment of the highest aspiration, the aspiration towards God.

Here is the first method that awakens your potential sexual energy:

This method is based on the stimulation of the erogenous points or areas of the penis. However, let us first find out which are these areas or points.

The first and most sensitive of all of these points is the glans of the penis. It is covered with a very fine skin, which has innumerable Krause corpuscles, corpuscles sensitive to various tactile sensations.

The second highly sensitive area is the base of the penis. The penis is covered by a “sheath” made of a thin layer of skin. On the base of this sheath there is a hypersensitive area whose stimulation determines the further hardening of the erection.

This area responds well to a slight tightening through the use of a ring. However, during lovemaking, the controlled contraction of the vaginal muscles can replace any other helping innovation.

The third sensitive area is the scrotum. The scrotum is covered with a delicate epidermis, lacking adipose tissue and sensitive to gentle touch and massage.

Take 30 minutes daily to practice the following method:

1. The yogic relaxation for ten minutes. You find its description in the Yoga Section.

2. Completely naked, sit on a chair, close your eyes, and focus on the genital area. Breathe deeply and slowly, trying to relax the genital area as much as possible.

3. Keep your eyes closed, and begin the exercise by caressing the scrotal area gently, with the tips of your fingers. Delicately caress the area between the anus and sexual organ.

Even if you have never done this, and even if these caresses do not make you perceive any erotic pleasure, continue these caresses when you perform this exercise. After a while the erotic perceptions will become refined and the erotic energy will awaken more easily.

Methods to Increase Virility, Part 2

4. Then move on to the stimulation of the area from the base of the penis. Form a ring around it, with the thumb and index, and tighten this ring for 10 to 15 times.

Then move this ring that presses the penis for about 20 times, from the base to the glans. This milking-like movement brings the blood from the base to the glans.

5. Then proceed on the stimulation of the glans, moving the foreskin back and forth, over the coronary area. Begin with slow movements and then gradually increase the rhythm.

Stimulate yourself like this until you obtain an erection and then continue this stimulation, without ejaculating. When you feel you are getting close to the point of non-return, cease the stimulation, breathe deeply and after you’ve relaxed, continue the stimulation.

6. After this, in the end of this exercise, perform 15 Uddyiana Bandhas or 10 minutes of Sarvangasana for the ascension of the energy to the upper chakras.

The second method we are going to introduce to you is a Taoist method. Here are the stages:

1. The yogic relaxation for ten minutes. You find its description in the Yoga Section.

2. Sit in a comfortable position, rub your palms until they become warm, and then hold your penis and scrotum with the right hand. With the left palm, perform 81 circular movements in the oral sense, on the abdomen, beneath the navel.

Change the hands and perform the same circular movements, with the right hand, in an anti-oral sense. Imagine a fire emanating from the genital area.

3. Contract the anal muscles, including the PC muscle. Remember to relax completely your muscles between two contractions, and to maintain the contraction for as long as you can. After a month of daily practice or even sooner, according to your effort and perseverance, you will get to perfectly control your anal muscles.

4. In the end, perform simultaneously point 2 and 3 from above. You will perceive a pleasant sensation at the base of your spine, and this sensation will spread through your whole body. This pleasant sensation is the result of the contraction of the muscles on the prostrate.

The results of this practice are: preventing the prostrate problems, healing of hemorrhoids, impotence and precocious ejaculation. It also increases the sensitivity of the penis and may even determine an increase in the size.

In fact, these methods for activating your sexual energy may just as well become pleasurable and intense erotic experiences, as long as you do not fall for ejaculation.

Techniques for Getting a Strong Erection, Part 3

a7ec9f4970cbc59981f99020067767e4In the following, we will introduce you to a series of exercises whose objectives are:

  • becoming more aware of your sexual organs
  • fortifying your sexual muscles
  • the control of your individual sexual muscles

MULA BANDHA – the contraction of the root
This is a basic technique for controlling the sexual energy and getting a hard erection.

This technique involves the anal muscles, both internal and external, as well as the “lifting” muscles, situated in the interior of the body. If you are in a state of semi-erection, you may easily observe the effect of those contractions.

Through the action of the “lifting” muscle, the penis may respond to the contractions of the woman’s vagina and this secret language may enrich the couple’s life with new voluptuous sensations.

Mula Bandha is an exercise that you could practice anywhere, anytime and in any position: sitting, lying, or even while doing the headstand or other yoga postures.

In the beginning, we will act on the whole pelvic area while contracting these muscles, but in time we will be able to distinguish between the anal muscles and the penile ones.

We will be able to contract them individually, in order to become capable of relaxing them at will. During an ejaculation, you may observe the ejaculatory spasm propagating and helping you to locate the muscles responsible for ejaculation.

One of the most efficient procedures in controlling ejaculation is to relax the sexual muscles when you are close to ejaculation. Learn to relax the muscular complex of the pelvic floor in any position you may be.

In order to do this, breathe calmly, relax the pelvic muscles, the anal muscles, and the rest of the muscles in the area. Take your time to relax completely, even if in the beginning this may take some minutes.

In time you will be able to relax more quickly, almost instantaneously – fact that will prove a real help during intercourse because it will help you avoid ejaculation.

Remember the fractionate urinating technique and try to urinate with pauses of 5 to 30 seconds between the flow of urine. The practice of this technique makes the control of ejaculation a lot easier.

The exercises presented so far stressed the importance of having strong sexual muscles. Likewise, when you getting close to the point of non-return you have to focus so that you relax those muscles and avoid thus ejaculation.

In order to practice contract these muscles to the maximum while having a strong erection. Then relax these muscles, contract again for a few seconds and relax again.

If you insist on the relaxation, the erection weakens and eventually disappears. In the beginning do this exercise while you stand still, but in time, you will get to perform this exercise during intercourse.

When you get close to the point of non-return, you may easily notice an acceleration of the breath, which leads to a stronger tension of the pelvic muscles.

If you allow this breath to go on, you will soon reach ejaculation, but if you control it at this point, you will also control the ejaculatory process.

Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, a tantric spiritual master wrote: “when the man is anxious, he reaches ejaculation quickly. When he is not anxious, the ejaculation may be delayed for hours or even days, especially now that it is no longer necessary.

Two lovers who are united by a deep love may give strength to one another and thus ejaculation is no longer necessary. The two lovers may carry on making love years on end, without exhausting their energies. They get to relax in the other. Their bodies contract and then relax.

Eventually, sex will cease being the base of the excitation, as it is now, and it will become the jumping board in order to attain the spiritual, a veritable and lasting conquest.

Nevertheless, this is possible only if you surrender yourselves to the vital energy within each of you. Then and only then will you be able to abandon yourselves to love.”

In his “Introduction to Tantric Buddhism”, S.B.Dasgupta notes: “according to the adepts of Vajrayana and Sahajayana, the pleasure caused by ejaculation is highly inferior in both quality and intensity to the bliss that comes about through the seminal retention, stopping the descendant movement of the sperm and making it take an upright direction.

This ascension makes it “flow” to the lotus situated in the crown of the head and stay there. The bliss obtained through the sublimation of the sexual energy is named MAHA_SUKHA (great bliss or great pleasure).”

Other Techniques that Stimulate Erection

Tantra-for-beginners-1METHOD 1: If you face erection problems from the beginning of lovemaking, the same calm attitude is the best help you can get in overcoming this moment. The woman often gets the wrong ideas in such moments, thinking that the man no longer likes her, or he no longer is attracted to her.

Nonetheless, her tendency to inhibition will do more damage than good. She should instead remain calm and warm, helping her lover get over this unpleasant moment for both of them.

Regardless of the cause of an impossibility of getting an erection at one time, the purpose is to overcome this moment and to get the desired erection.

Secret Eastern teachings recommend for this case that the man undresses completely and lies on the bed, relaxing. He tries to get into the state of receptivity named “the pose of perception”, in which he no longer focuses on getting an erection, but on eliminating the cause that lead to the lack of erection.

His lover lies in the same bed, on his left side, with her head towards his feet, without touching him.

The man slowly passes his hands over his abdomen, until reaching his penis. Then, he will hold his penis with his right index and thumb, while his left hand takes hold of his testicles.

He focuses on the image of his contracted pelvic muscles and views his penis and all it channels. Then he pulls his fingers to the head of his penis, continuously pressing it. Simultaneously he will tense the penile muscles, visualizing how the penis is filled with virility and energy.

Repeat this sequence several times, maintaining the contraction of the penis during the time required to “go over” the entire length of the penis, from the base to the head. When reaching the head, relax the muscles and release the penis.

Relax for a couple of minutes, and repeat the sequence: hold your penis, press, slide the ring formed of the index and the thumb slowly from base to head, while contracting the penis. Repeat once more, and then maintain the position with the eyes closed.

Then the woman makes the same movements with the exact position of the hands: she holds her lover’s penis with her right index and thumb and presses the base of the penis, and her left hand gently holds his testicles.

At this moment, the man has to make a powerful contraction of the penis and he has to maintain this contraction all the while the woman slides her fingers along his penis. She will press as much as needed to create the sensation of a gentle sliding.

The woman has to release the penis when feeling the contraction becoming less powerful. At this point she will not let her fingers slide back, at the base of the penis, but she will let the penis “fall” freely, and only then she will encircle it with the ring made of her fingers.

The man and woman repeat the process as described two more times, after which they relax. Then the man lies on his stomach, and the woman will lie on his right side, in the same position as described before.

Now the man sits on his knees and elbows, “on all fours” as this position is named, spreads his knees as much as he feels comfortable, and then places his head on his forearms.

The woman will hold his testicles with her left hand and her right hand slides gently on his abdomen until reaching his penis, holding its base as described before. The man focuses on the muscular contractions of his penis, while the woman slides her fingers from base to head.

Owing to the position, this part reminds of the milking – and therefore it is known in the traditional tantric texts as “the milking of the penis to erection.” The woman will stop “milking” when she feels the man relaxed his muscles.

From a physiological point of view, the erection occurs through “swallowing” the “empty” channels of the penis with blood – process that leads to its enhancement and rigidity until reaching the erection. The man contracts his muscles three times, and the woman “milks” him every time, after which they take a break.

The man now focuses on the sensations he perceives, while the woman starts the same process again. Even when the penis becomes hard and rigid she will continue “milking”, but without allowing her fingers to slide back from head to base, only from base to head.

She will massage simultaneously his testicles, enhancing thus his pleasure in a gentle manner. When his penis starts to react to the milking process, the man will come on his knees, and his lover will take her hands off his genitalia.

She lies on her back with her head towards her lover’s “treasure”, while he comes with his head in between her legs, forming the famous 69 position.

METHOD 2: The man and the woman lie on the bed so that they have easily access to each other’s sexual organs. With the left hand she may stimulate his testicles, perineum, and anal muscles, and with the right hand she will encircle the base of his penis, forming a ring of her index and thumb.

She will slide her fingers along the man’s penis from base to head, never in a reversed order. The milking generates a blood-current that fills the “empty” vessels with blood, prolonging the erection in this manner.

This kind of touch is highly exciting, especially when it is accompanied by the caress of the testicles and anal area. It is a delicious touch and the erection will be strong enough soon.

The man may recourse to contractions in order to support the process of erection. He may watch his lover’s hands caressing his intimate areas, if this is exciting for him. The whole exercise will introduce him in the foreplay and there is no doubt that this technique will fulfill its purpose: to cause a hard erection!

METHOD 3:A very simple method for you to get a stronger, natural erection is to place your thumb on the head of the penis and the index on the base of the penis, inhale, and slowly and gently massage the penis from base to head.

The thumb, the index and the middle finger will press so that the blood will be forced through the head of the penis. Continue this massage for as long as you can hold your breath. Repeat nine times.

This technique leads the blood into the penis and keeps it there. While holding your breath, count to nine and each time you count, make a move towards the head. This technique hardens the penis, stimulates the erection and strengthens the whole organism, as it acts as a massage.

Daily Exercises for the PC Muscles, Part 1

Training your pubococcygeal muscle (PC muscle) is an essential practice in the awakening and control of the sexual energy.

Therefore, any man who desires to master the art of sexual continence will have to pay close attention to the exercises aiming to strengthen the PC muscle.

This muscle sustains the pelvic floor, and is stretching from the pubic bone to the top of the coccys. This is also the muscle that contracts in the moment of ejaculation (in the case of men) or orgasm with discharging of the sexual energy (in the case of women).

A powerful PC muscle contributes both to enhancing the erotic pleasure and to the control of the sexual energy. This is why we can say that the strengthening of the sexual muscle (PC muscle) is essential in the practice of sexual continence.

As you already know from our previous articles, the contraction of an area brings about the concentration of the energy in that particular area.

In the case of powerful contraction of the pubococcygeal muscle, the sexual energy is focused and then “expulsed” along the spine towards the upper centers of force.

In other words, the PC muscle acts as a pumping system for the sexual energy, inside the body, to upper levels of consciousness. It goes almost without saying that the mental focus has an important part in the rising of the sexual energy.

Therefore, the powerful contractions of the PC muscle should be accompanied by an appropriate mental focus in the upper centers of force (Anahata Chakra, Vishuddha Chakra, Ajna Chakra, or Sahasrara Chakra).

Thus, the sexual energy building up and then “forced” upwards, through the contraction of the PC muscle, is then made to stay and accumulate mostly in the area in which we focus our mind.

If we do this technique of focusing on a specific center of force during lovemaking, we will have the possibility of experiencing states of orgasm specific to that particular center of force.

Another benefit drawn from a good development of the PC muscle is the reduction of the risk of prostate problems.

Moreover, in both men and women, a healthy, strong PC muscle decreases the danger of bladder problems, because the contractions of the muscular tissue in that area increases the blood-flow ensuring the health of the genitalia and of the bladder.

The first step in performing these exercises is to identify this muscle. You may do this as follows: place two fingers behind the testicles, without pressuring.

Simulate that you urinate and that you wish to stop the flow of urine. For a more accurate approach we recommend that you do this check up while actually urinating. The muscle that will become tense at the point when you stop the urine is the PC muscle.

This is the first exercise that you will perform daily:

1. Contract the PC muscle and maintain the contraction for 3 seconds. Do not hold your breath while you contract the muscle. Breathe as freely as possible.

2. Relax the PC muscle.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 twenty to fifty times.

The advantage of this exercise is that you may perform it anywhere, and anytime. You may do it while you shower, immediately after you went to the toilet, while you watch TV or any other routine activity.

Daily Exercises for the PC Muscles, Part 2

Here is the second exercise that you have to perform daily:
1. Inhale and focus on the area of the prostate, perineum and anus.

2. Exhale and contract the PC muscle around the prostate and anus, contracting in the same time the muscles around the eyes and lips.

3. Inhale and relax, releasing the PC muscle, as well as the mouth and eyes muscles.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 contracting the muscles while inhaling and relaxing them while exhaling. Do 10 to 50 repetitions. The contraction of the facial muscles helps the strong contraction of the PC muscle.

You should practice these exercises two-three times a day.

There are two typical errors in the practice of these exercises:
1. Exaggerating the number of contractions from the first sessions. Remember that the PC muscle is a muscle just as any other, and it may become sore. Stay calm and do not force in any manner. Increase the number of contractions gradually in one session.

2. The contraction of another muscle along or instead of the PC muscle. When you do your PC strengthening, it is important that the muscles of the abdomen, thighs and buttock remain relaxed.

In the beginning you may contract these as well, but in time you will learn to isolate the PC muscle from the other muscles. However, this is possible only through practice.

You do not need to have your finger on the PC muscle while practicing. A better method for feeling this muscle is to close your eyes and focus on the area.

Nonetheless, if you have problems in locating the PC muscle you may put your finger on the muscle while urinating, during the first repetitions.

For the muscle to become fit, there are necessary about three-four weeks, interval in which you have to practice the two exercises daily.

Once you begin to get the grip on how to contract the PC muscle, the daily practice will continue until you become completely successful in preventing the sexual energy from discharging through ejaculation.

A useful way of helping you in your daily practice routine is to associate the exercises to your daily habits, such as waking up in the morning, the shower, or getting into bed at night.

A good method for checking the firmness of your PC muscle is to hang a towel on your erect penis, and then lift and lower it through the contractions of this muscle. In the advanced Taoist practice, the men use weights instead of the towel.

Keep in mind that “practice makes the master” and that “a gram of practice is worth tones of theory.”

After 3-4 weeks of daily practice of the exercises described in our previous article, “Daily exercises for the PC muscle. Part 1”, you are ready to approach the following exercise:

1. Inhale and focus your attention in the pelvic area.

2. Exhale, contract the PC muscle and keep the contraction for 10 to 15 seconds.

3. Inhale and relax the contraction. Stay relaxed for 5 seconds.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3, contracting the PC muscle while inhaling and relaxing it while exhaling. Do 10 up to 50 repetitions on one session.

You may need several weeks in order to get to 50 slow contractions during one session. Be patient, practice gradually and do as many repetitions as you can, without forcing anything. When you start feeling the results, you will see that you will not be able to dispense yourself from these exercises.

Techniques for Getting a Strong Erection, Part 1

Many people, both men and women consider that a man’s manhood lies his erection, with all the qualities it requires, such as toughness, duration, etc.

Usually, the erection appears during foreplay or while the man awaits the sexual intercourse. However, the tensions, age, and other psychic factors make it difficult sometimes to have an erection.

Therefore, we introduce to you the causes that generate this fact and the possibilities to fight it, according to the Eastern art of lovemaking.

First, it is highly recommendable that after the man has had an orgasm (preferably without ejaculation) he does not hurry towards a new erection. The process of gaining another erection should be slow, and lacking any kind of stress, with the help of the woman.

The union of the two lovers through the sexual act performed with sexual continence makes it imperious the fulfillment of two apparently opposing conditions: on one hand, maintaining a strong erection, which supposes an intense erotic stimulation, and on the other hand avoiding ejaculation precisely because of this intense stimulation.

In order to “live” with both these conditions, we have to know that the sexual play depends on three distinct nervous groups:

  • one that maintains the sensorial-motor connection between the sex and the brain, consequently our main “sexual organ”;
  • the other, the parasympathetic causes and maintains the erection;
  • and the last one, the sympathetic, which is responsible for the ejaculation.

It is equally important that we know a few aspects connected to the phenomenon of the erection: there are two fundamental types of erections:
1. Nocturnal or morning erections, which are purely reflex
2.Erections caused by erotic stimulation, either directly or through dreams.

The first type of erection interest us in particularly because it bring light in two cases at least: first there is an older couple with the man no longer at his best performances, and the second the “phoney impotence” in which most men blame their lack of potency on some physical problems.

However, excepting some very rare and exceptional cases, every night, every man has at least five full erections, since his adolescence.

The German researchers quoted by doctor Sherman J. Siber in his book: “The Male”, have studied great numbers of men in their sleep and determined that a man’s penis gets tough for 25 minutes at an interval of 84 minutes, during an Rapid Eye Movement phase, consequently during a dream.

If the subject is awakened, he remembers the content of his dream. Moreover, it has been proven that the nocturnal erections are not connected to the content of the dream, which most of the times had nothing erotic about it.

Thus, with some “erectile” math we realize that by the age of 75, an average penis was “up” 33.000 hours – this is about four years, four months, four weeks, leaving aside the leap years.

Knowing the fact that the erection depends on the parasympathetic nervous system, whose role is also to slow the breath and heartbeats, as well as to dilate the blood vessels, and that the ejaculation depends on the sympathetic nervous system, one may easily notice that impotence and premature ejaculation have one thing in common: the over-excitation of the sympathetic nervous system due to anxiety.

Here’s a classic situation: the man meets a new partner whom he desires greatly. The thinks fearful: “if only I were up to the task”. The fear of a humiliating failure is over-exciting his sympathetic nervous system.

The result: his heart beats like crazy, the breath is rapid and superficial, processes that inhibit the action of his “opponent”, the parasympathetic nervous system, in charge with the erection.

Then, despite all the efforts of the disconcerted seducer, the result will be totally disappointing. Alternatively, maybe even worse, he will ejaculate before entering the woman.

The experimented woman may save the day calming and helping her partner relax. Once his sympathetic nervous system relaxed the breath deep and regular, the parasympathetic system takes over and will open the gates towards the erotic paradise.

Techniques For Getting A Strong Erection, Part 2

Let us turn our attention towards the ejaculatory process again. Premature or not, the ejaculation depends on the sympathetic nervous system, which warns the seminal glands to prepare for the seminal expulsion.

One movement and the sympathetic system will determine the powerful contractions form the base of the penis, which in its turn determines the ejaculation, an irreversible process.

In conclusion: in order to overcome impotence, we have to manage and calm our sympathetic nervous system. In order to control the erection and prevent ejaculation, we have to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system.

In order to activate the parasympathetic system we should control and be aware of our breathing. Breathe in slowly, deeply, and exhale gradually, relaxed.

This respiratory pattern should be constant during the sexual act, beginning with the foreplay. The man gains insight stays calm, serene and his reward is a full-bodied erection, and a satisfied woman.

Moreover, in order to avoid the sympathetic system to become over-excited, it is highly important that the movements of the two lovers are smooth, and the man adapts to the rhythm of his lover. Avoid all sudden movements, smile and maintain a relaxed atmosphere.

Finally, far from losing his potency with age, the man who practices sexual continence gains strength and resistance.

The preserving of the sperm enhances the libido, and the man will not get to find out the progression erosion of his sexual power – a constant worry of any man over 40 years old.

The young man “compensates” the loss of energy through ejaculation through a faster “recharge”. At a young age, the man has to wait only a few minutes before he is ready to take over again.

Later, while he advances in age, he has to wait up to several hours until he is ready for a new experience.

However, in compensation to the patience, the years that pass bring to each man, even to those who ejaculate, a sexual maturity which makes them appreciated lovers.

Consequently, is the “quick” erection such a great asset? The “aged” lover may wait a little longer, but instead he can carry on making love for a longer period, making him more desirable than the young and unexperienced man, who finishes before he started.

Let us now dwell upon the sexual “erosion” that comes around with age. The cause is the terrible waste of sperm that fatally occurs with the years.

On the contrary, by preserving your sexual energy through the practice of sexual continence you will be always youthful and full of energy. The frequent ejaculations shorten the man’s orgasms.

While in his 20’s, a man could “throw” away his sperm at about half of meter, distance that dramatically decreases with age due to the frequent ejaculations.

In order to avoid these unpleasant aspects there is only one solution – to avoid wasting the sperm. The man as sexual animal is an exception and does not stand comparison to other mammals.

Nonetheless, we should mention the fact that the animals themselves copulate only in short periods for reproduction purposes, and that the males may spend months without intercourse.

This may explain the progressive exhaustion of the sexual energy. The tantric and Taoist teachings indicate also the fact that the waste of sperm exhausts the virility and is the main cause for premature sexual senility.

Seminal retention allows a rich sexual life, including several intimate contacts a day, and preserves the biological youth of the practitioner.

It is enough to practice the seminal retention for only one week or two in order to be able to notice the sexual tonus coming back to your best shape.

The principal objection to seminal retention is that the testicles produce spermatozoids continuously regardless of the number of ejaculations. This is true.

However, when the ejaculations are too close in time, the spermatozoids are less numerous and the sperm contains a number of immature gametes, indicating the fact that the testicles have to work extra and the pressure on them is greater than it would normally be.

However, the men that have been practicing sexual continence for decades are a living proof of the fact that it does not imply any risk for one’s health, but only benefits.

It is important that we underline the following aspects:

  • The hardness and duration of the erection are a sign of a man’s virility.
  • The erection-phenomenon is the pillar that sustains the sexual experience, be it profane or initiated.
  • The practice of the exercises described in the “Men” section can give you a stronger erection, as a direct consequence of the stimulation of erotic vitality, the penis maintaining an upright position for hours.
  • It is important that we understand that the erection may be triggered more easily if before intercourse you will perform a relaxation of the whole body, insisting on the erogenous-sexual areas.
